How to get to East Grinstead

Overseas Visitors

London Gatwick is the closest major airport to East Grinstead, and is about 10 miles away (about 25 minutes by car).

From Gatwick you can get to East Grinstead by train, bus, coach, taxi or hired car.

Although there is no direct train service from Gatwick to East Grinstead, you can go North to East Croydon (in South London) or to Victoria Station in London itself and then back out to East Grinstead. (See below under "Trains").

There are however two fairly direct local bus services. (See below under "Buses").

If arriving in the UK at Heathrow Airport, there is a shuttle bus service from Heathrow to Gatwick which takes about an hour, or you can go to London Victoria Railway Station by underground (subway, metro), by coach, taxi or car, and from there directly to East Grinstead. (See below under "Trains").

If you have booked in advance at one of the Hotels near Gatwick, you can take the Gatwick Express from London, which runs roughly every 15 minutes from London Victoria to Gatwick Station
