In my opinion we all spend to much time worrying about our weight
and how we look. I believe that this is down to the media. In all
the magazines and on TV, all the women are slim and beautiful, and
digitally enhanced on the computer, removing spots, scars or any
blemishes. Admittedly these images are nice to look at, but there
is such a stigma for wanting to look like the girl on TV! Even if
you look at a lot of celebrities how they have transformed from
dieting and eating disorders. Great examples are Mary Kate and Ashley
Olsen. Admittedly they have never been big, but they had nice figures
(No bones) and rumor has it that Mary Kate was treated for an eating
disorder!
I do believe that if you want to lose weight then a good combination
of exercise and healthy eating will work. So many people are in
a rush these days, everyone eats convenience foods because they
are quick and effortless. If we stopped rushing and took the time
to eat better food, healthy meals and cut out McDonalds then would
we all be wanting to go on diets?
