Furnihelp is a voluntary scheme to collect and recycle unwanted basic items of furniture and household equipment by passing it on to help those who have been homeless and others in similar need. The items must be in good condition, clean and safe to use.

It became an independent organisation on 1st April 1998, and survives on donations from local parish, town and county council grants and donations from members of the public or local businesses. It does not make a charge either to those donating items or those in receipt of items.
