The East Grinstead CVS, (Reg. Charity No 1024262), is located in the Old Court House next to East Court which houses the Town Council.

The CVS purpose is to provide the infrastructure for the local voluntary sector. Among its many activities it runs two travel services for member community and youth groups in the area - EGBUS and EGDART.

EGBUS is a wheelchair-accessible minibus available for hire by sheltered housing groups, theatre groups, music lovers, youth groups, clubs and teams. Capacity is driver plus 11 adults or 15 young people. Applications are on a first-come-first-served basis. To book the bus call 01342 328080.

EGDART is a dial-a-ride door-to-door service for local people and visitors staying in the area, with disabilities of any kind who are unable to use buses or ordinary cars. During weekdays, 9.00am to 6.00pm it covers East Grinstead and surrounding areas up to 15 miles radius. Weekends and evenings it is available for longer journeys, with separate rates.
